fragrant shrub for part sun areazone 6

Pittsburgh, PA

I am removing large azaleas from an area around my patio and would like to replace them with fragrant shrubs--evergreen if possible.
The area receives about 4 hours of afternoon sun and I am in zone 6--Pittsburgh area. The azaleas have done quite well there but I need a change. Shrub should have a maximum size of about 3-4 feet high and wide.
Any great smelling suggestions from the fragrant gardeners in this forum?

Hmmmmm are there any Daphnes that could be kept pruned to that size that are hardy to zone 6? http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/b/Thymelaeaceae/Daphne/none/cultivar/0/ I didn't have time to go through them but take a peek. Also some of the smaller Lilacs...my Persian Lilac hasn't gotten too big...and what about a Viburnum x burkwoodii 'Mohawk' http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/56116/ could it maybe kept pruned to a size you like?

good suggestions that I had not thought of --thanks---any ideas for summer rather than spring boomimg/fragrance?
Often the Pgh. weather makes our patio unuseable in the early spring.
