Well, morning all.
I have stayed home from the 8-5 with a bad cold. The new little bottle calf didn't know I felt eyuky. I still had to chase her around. She is doing better with me but still has to be caught to take her bottle. In yesterdays posts I think it was Wingnut saying how animals sooo have their own personalities. This little girl has a bit of a wild nature. My other bottle calves were so gentle by now. I do think she was traumatized at the auction barn. She still has the little cuts on her nose. She isn't nearly as bad as she was the first few days though.
Happy Anniversary Jewel and Mr. Jewel! Seems I'm a day late.. but happy happy anyways!
Combine is making headway through the corn field and the dryer is working in full force on the corn bin. Harvest is here..
Be safe for harvest everyone.. Even if you are not one that has to work around all the augers and big machinery.. Please take extra care on the roads where grain is being transported and slow machinery if moving along.
