Usually when an Indigo hears the camera click they fly off immediately if not sooner. This little guy didn't seem concerned and posed nicely so I could get some nice shots of him. I couldn't pick a favorite so thought I'd post several on their own thread. He was such a delightful bird as I'm sure you will agree!!
A Natural Model...Indigo Bunting
Excellent shots Rose!!! So glad you found this one who didn't mind the camera. He is gorgeous!
Beautiful series!
Thanks Pelle and Wild Rose...he sure was fun to photograph!
What a cutie!!! Thanks Dell :)
Rose, your photos of this beautiful bird are all just perfect. How exciting to have such a gorgeous bird modeling for you. WOW!
Rose, they are exquisite photos. The detail you've captured in that gorgeous bird is amazing.
Very nice shots Dellrose! Beautiful bird!
Thanks again everyone! He is back today but the lighting is so bad I won't even try and get more shots (even though he seems determined to pose)!! He has found a feeder he likes so I'm sure he will hang around.
Absolutely wonderful Rose. He looks as if he's bowing for everyone, after a performance. Hope you gave him lots of applause!!! I'm sending some of mine, for doing such a good job, on posing for your camera.
Nice photos. I have only managed to get photos of them way up in the tree.
What a great series of photos, dellrose. From a distance, Indigo Buntings seem to be largely all-blue. Your photos clearly demonstrate the actual variation in feather color. Beautiful.
