White edging plant for my garden

I have a heart shaped garden around one of my smaller trees. I am looking for a nice edging plant to go around it. I know there are small annual plants, but I would prefer a perennial, so I don't have to plant every year. It would have to be one that grows in part shade, preferably white. I live in zone 5-B. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks.----IrishLass
