I just noticed that there is not a forum on DG for GRAINS. Well huh. ......Does anyone here know if there is a forum for growing grains? I would like to try my hand at growing a small patch of wheat, etc., this summer but don't know where to find the seeds and how to do it. I'm hoping someone knows of a really good book on growing your own grains - wheat, etc., and where I can find heritage seeds that are suited for Michigan.

Post also on the Farm forum. I'm sure there are folks growing all sorts of grain - perhaps on a rather large scale.

Someone in the marketplace had a wheat growing kit ( I think) for sale a month ago. Might still be there.
