Another ID Needed

This thing has come up in my garden and I've been watching it. It's not doing much, just sitting there being green. LOL Apparently this little dragonfly likes it. Any idea what it is?

It's got a woody stem, skinny, strappy leaves and it's not very tall, maybe about a foot or so.

Here's a better shot of the leaves (& the little dragonfly).

It looks like one of the Wild Lettuce, there are many of them and are hard to identify.
Possibly this one;

I have this also. I do like the white stripe through the middle of the leaves but have wondered if it is a keeper. What do you think frostweed?

Hello Sandy, Wild Lettuce doesn't do much as a cultivated plant, but it is interesting. All plants have a purpose, but some are more useful to us humans than others.

Hi Josephine Would it be considered invasive?

I don't think so, although it does pop up here and there.

ok Thanks.

stephanietx the little dragonfly is so cute. Great picture. What kind of camera do you have?

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

It's a Kodak Easy Share. I'll have to check which kind when I get home.

Okay. I'm going to pluck it out when I get home, if it's not raining. The little dragon fly seemed to like to perch on it.

I pulled it all up.
