I got what was said to be a Golden Rain Tree from someone in the Houston area 3 or 4 years ago. I apologize but I don't remember who. They lived on or near Fondren I remember that. I can't find a picture of it on Dave's and I don't think that I have a picture of it in my folders either. Mine died this last winter but a friend says she has one and it sounds very much like the one I got. It has mimosa like leaves and yellow flowers in the fall. Does anyone know where I can find a picture of this or remember giving it to me?

I wonder if maybe it was goldenball lead tree? They're awfully mimosa-looking, although around here they flower all summer.

I think it's really a Golden Chain tree. A cassia or senna?
The tree in the picture looks like Sesbania drummomdii, Rattle Bush.
