Nice. I wonder if they compete too much with peonies?

No, they don't compete with much of anything. They slowly spread. In my new yard I have it under a big crabapple. It can take full sun with moisture, or partial shade. I am germinating some more now. It's a wonderful plant it and forget it plant. I have it in really poor conditions, and really good one. It remains in the winter, turning a grey green. It has been there since 2007!

The first picture shows it in a horrible, neglected are, uncomposted, near the hosecart. It gently spread. Death to most plants. That's what convinced me to put it under my fothergillas, for a color echo. It's a wonderful, non-agressive plant, which is why it can be so neglected.

That's really nice. I especially like the way you put it with the fothergilla.

Thank you for the wonderful comments!

I just love this plant. I am getting fothergilla Mt. Airy at my new house, and I'm going to combine them again.

Nothing works better than success!
