Billbergia ?

I think this one my friend Rudy found may be the same as hers. I have read descriptions all over the www and can't quite figure out what it is, although I am fairly sure it's a Billbergia.

Yes is is a Billbergia. But id is not easy as there are far more hybrids than species. I suggest you go to http://fcbs.org and search through the Photo Index for Billbergias. Also note some of the references to "Uncle Derek" who has a few short articles on the problems in Billbergia identification.
