Help with North Texas RU rubber tree swap

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm so sorry I forgot who gave me this beautiful, healthy rubber plant. I thought I would remember every name and each with a face in my memory, plus all the instructions I was given. Now that I'm finally getting around to planting them (already had a lot of bedding plants to get in the dirt first), all that stuff just sort of runs together. So..I'll just inquire about one plant at a time, and thanks in advance for your help.

I read somewhere that these rubber trees will have roots that run all the way across the yard. The only consistant shade I have (with available water) is up pretty close to the house. Are we talking foundation damage from the roots? Do the roots go deep enough to do that, or are they pretty shallow? I have no experience with this plant.

I know it was a lady, Stephanie. She told me all about how she started it, etc.

Well, hmmmmm....not sure who it came from then! LOL I've also only seen these grown as house plants.

And you know, maybe it is a house plant. I searched it on "plant files," and I think that's where I heard about the big root thing, but I don't remember where that person lived. I bet it is only for the house, because it is so perfect and unblemished. I better check it again.
