Found cockatiel

While moving from Dallas Tx to Austin Tx, my daughter found a female cockatiel.
So she came with us .

Unfortunately, my dog wants to eat the bird cage and all.

I want to give the bird away and have now attempted two methods that are not viable.
Craig's list and Austin freecycle. Both do not allow for pets to be posted on their list.

So now what? Any suggestions.

My house is mayhem with this on going issue. I do not see the dog being friends with this bird and I have to keep them separated which is not that easy in my small house.
