Hello! I was hoping for some advice on whether windmill palms or mexican fan palms are truly hardy to zone 6b. I have seen them for sale and reported hardy to this zone, and I have seen them for sale with claims of hardiness just to zone 7 or 8. I think on DG windmills are 7b hardy. Does anyone know the real deal?

Order a copy of Betrock's Cold Hardy Palms by Alan W. Meerow. As I recall, they can survive but must be given a great deal of winter protection.
