I found a day old chick with a blooded head, still alive and breathing, I think it was pecked by one of the hens,I put the baby in a box and brought it in the house to let the poor thing die in peace, but after several hours , it is still alive and I do not know how to help. I would like some advice.

The chick just hatched yesterday, it is in a warm box moving around and lifting its head.Its little head is bald from the pecking
If you can keep a light on the box so the chicks is at 95 degrees and offer it food and water in shallow (very shallow with rocks or marbles in it) bowls, the chick may recover. If it looks like it is recovering, I would put another chick in with it though. They do better with company.
