My new Passiflora biflora

Miami, FL(Zone 10b)

Hello everybody!!!! I just wanted to share with you all one of the 4 passies that I got from Elizabeth and Grassy Knowlls which arrived 2 days ago. To my surprise the little biflora was in bud and this is what I woke up this morning to. Enjoy!!!

Besides the biflora I also ordered edulis, Panda and Manta. The edulis seems to be budding as well so hopefully I'll have some more pictures to share with you all. Here is another shot of the biflora

Thanks everybody for the comments. This baby is growing nicely and budding. I can't wait for the next set of blooms.
Clemen I got this plant from Grassy Knolls which was highly recommended by everyone here and I am extremely pleased with the plants. Go see if Elizabeth has more of these.

I did go see check the site, lol, and they are still available.

I checked my passi book and it says it produces edible small fruit. The scientific name is P. Hahnii (Forun) Mast. They say it may refused to flower growing it indoors and all of my passis come inside for the winter.

As far as I know the scientific name is Passiflora biflora. I couldn't find one with that name that you posted.

Well I found it in my passiflora book and it had the same picture you posted, who knows. it is pretty anyhow.

I love biflora. I live in 8b and have grown it in a large pot for years. This past winter our temps were in the 20s for several hours on a few occassions--even snowed!. Biflora stays outside with oak leaf mulch. But it has returned this spring, too!! A pretty hardy passie.

Nice reference site.
I have seeds for Biflora but I doubt they are fresh, it's one I'd like to have also.

It's not the same flower. Look at the filaments and the coloration on the inner corona and you'll see that they are 2 different species. Now the hahnii I wouldn't mind having either.
