Last time I went to the nursery on April 19th and 20th I bought all sorts of fertilizers. My usual two bags of Greensand. Plus two bags of Rose Tone, a bag of Plant Tone and a bag of dehydrated garden manure. But there they sat in my car as I got too busy planting to spread them out. Then we had rainey yuccky days and very windy days. No good for fertilizing.
I just use the toss around the fertilizer method so can't work in the rain and definately not if its really windy. Today was perfect so I thought I had better get everything done. I put the Greensand on my daylilies and roses each spring. Then the roses get Rose Tone and the daylilies get Plant Tone and the garden manure.
So I am glad to have that chore done. 6 bags from the car spread out and another partial bag leftover of rosetone from last year from the garage. The garden smells like fertilizer and so do I as I always manage to get some on myself. Have to take a shower before dinner as I smell perculiar LOL.

I can't image what your car smelled like with all those fertilizers in it! Good thing nobody struck at match in the car.
