Another Caterpillar ID please!

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

I found this caterpillar in a tree on Forestry land. Have a series of four photos of him/her. Was wondering what s/he'll turn into.

Last one. He is still heading down the crack in the bark to the base of the tree.
Fascinating, these hairy caterpillars. : - )

Looks like some kind of woolly bear - probably a leopard moth caterpillar of sorts.
