Looking for a Yellow flowering Brug (deepest yellow) if all possible. I don't care about names..etc. Just need a cutting or 2. I lost the other I had due to my move. And really want it back! :-(
I think it was Dr. Suess...but I will take any Yellow.
Anyone?
Thanks Bunches,
Kim
WANTED: Any Yellow Flowering Brugmansia..cutting
Kim,
I have the one below, BUT mine are planted in the yard and we had an unusually cold winter, and so far they have not come back. They came back last year and it was about the same, so we shall see. My point, Would be glad to send you a couple of cuttings but it could be awhile if at all. I will keep watching them. Almost a gold/orange.
Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much! I will be waiting patiently...
Let's HOPE it comes back. I am going to be so disappointed if it does not. I may have to add my name to your thread here as 'wanting' one. LOL
I think alot of people are in same boat here with these plants winter was just so harsh its taking longer for these plants to come back. I would be disappointed too if I lost that really nice color!
Update....they are trying to come back, but the slugs (or something) keeps eating them, must spray them with something. ARRGGhh!
Good news, I do have a Charles Grimaldi that I kept in the greenhouse and it has about 10 blooms on it. I got this in a trade at the end of the season ( also several others), seems like it is yellow/gold, right? I will look it up.
OK, thats wierd, I googled images on Chr. Grim. and it ranged from lt pink to a deep gold like above.....???...Those of you that has one, what is the acutal color?
Yellow/Gold for the Charles Grimaldi
That's what I thought, but you google CG and look at 'images', there are a few that has lt. pink. Well, it should be blooming in a couple weeks. Right now the buds are about 2 inches long, so we shall see, and if it is yellow/gold, want a cutting of it?
I sure do! LOL
Charles Grimaldi's pollen parent was Frosty Pink, but he has no pink at all. He is listed on the Registry as yellow, but can get darker into the gold range.
