I spent several hours at the thickets down by the creek, and the Wilson's Warblers gave me a great show. This is my favorite of what I've gone through so far.................my pin up poster!
Incredible day with the Wilson's
Terrific shots of these gorgeous Warblers.
Yes, they sure aren't always easy, are they?
How many were there, tigerlily?
Wonderful shots Tiger!! I am envious!! Thanks for posting them!
I would love for a day like that....Outstanding shots tiger!
Great Job Tiger! The time you spent was well worth it. Warbler's are my favorite!
I believe there were at least a couple dozen Wilson's, as well as a few Nashville, Audubon's, and perhaps others. The thickets were just hopping so, that I didn't know where to point the camera. It was awesome!
Tiger lily, such beautiful shots. About a week ago I took photos at the rookery in Audubon Park, New Orleans. I just haven't found the energy to post them yet. Thanks for your Warblers.
Just beautiful Tiger...such a sweet little bird and your pics are so gorgeous and heart-warming! Thanks for sharing...I love them all!
What an awesome day this must have been for you. Each photo is just so cute. I love that shiny black on the head. Wonderful job on your photos Tiger!!
Thank you all.
Now...........if I could just have such a day with each of the warbler species we have here. Haha! I want it all................
Dynamite pics, tigerlily. I only ever saw a Wilson's Warbler one time. And, as I raised my camera, he took off, never to be seen again. I'm sure that your day was filled with excitement. Congratulations !.
What a difference today. Not a single warbler. Darn few birds at all. Sure am glad I stayed around yesterday. I might never have another day like it!
Wonderful photos, tiger. That may be a never-repeated event.

That's the way it is with migration . . . they're probably all well into Canada by now. A sudden concentration of migrating birds like that is called a 'fall'; most often it happens when migrating birds run into weather that they don't want to carry on flying in (e.g. rain, or fog, or strong headwinds).
