My mom relocated a number of daffs last spring (actually, they may be narcissus, if that matters - they are a multi-flower head variety). They came up on time, developed buds, which then turned papery brown instead of going on to bloom. She thinks she has to throw them away, or at least move them again (they are in an area with other daff which are doing fine). I think she should just let them be and see what happens next year. The leaves and all parts of the plant look fine and healthy. There was no adverse weather. Anyone know what might be going on? Thanks so much for your help.
