I took this pic, not the best, but maybe someone can tell me what this bird might be. I don't know too many birds yet.

Hi Linda, This is a male House Sparrow. A European bird brought here in the middle of the 19th century. It aggressively competes with our native cavity-nesting species of birds for nest spots.
Ooh, I read about those! I hope none of those come by my place. That pic was take at a carwash in a town nearby. Thanks!
They do the same thing at the garden center of our local wal-mart....I know those in charge would love to be rid of them. That's the only place I ever seen them...there and nesting on top of traffic lights.
It's a shame those birds are in this country.
