For those coming to the Master Gardener's Plant Sale in Jacksonville, we have moved the date to our rain date of May 1. Predicted rain, hail, wind require us to move to this date.
Hope you can still come next Saturday, same time, same place, just a week away.
Thanks,
DD
MG Plant sale- Rain date
We hope everyone fared well thru the turbulent weather
we got nothing here yesterday and today is just beautiful..the weather people just love to yank our chains dont they..lol.
Here about half inch of rain. Some wind early in the evening.
Always better safe than sorry. Plants have a chance to bloom or grow a little before next week.
Many calls today so bet the crowd comes next week.
karen and I will be there!
A little less rain than y'all;s area,...D......we did have some powerful gusts about 3:30 am.
I thought to myself this morning about 7ish....that I'd bet that everyone was surprised by the weather,...as it turned out....and that about that many were disappointed...like myself......we're meetin' in a week....everything is wunnerful..........I'd rather be safe than sorry.......I'd rather be lucky than good :)
I'm praying any rain gets here and goes on by before the weekends.
we had lightening and thunder but nothing more but I do know there were alot of limbs and trees down Saturday in other places
David did you know that they are predicting thunderstorms and rain now for this coming Friday and Saturday?
It seems like each spring if we need some rain, we should plan on our plant sale and we get it.
Rain or shine we will have the sale this Saturday. Just be prepared at the plants you buy may be well watered.
Come on down, you may get a prize !
D
I'm comin' regardless.....see y'all there!
I'm coming but I won't say regardless.
Im back and Ill be there with rain gear on (if its needed.).lol
Oh how I'd love to come! It would be a great outing and sounds like so much fun.
Please let those of us who can't go get all the news once the dust settles.
And yes, I'm having beans out of the can and corn dogs very soon!

I met Karen there today and had a great time looking at what everybody brought to sell..there was something for everyone.. car traffic was pretty steady even up to the time I left which was about 12:30....Lee, minus Dee (darn it) along with Ken and Maggie were there with plants to sell and it was good to see them again.. I got to talk to Trish for a while and had a wonderful conversation with her..Karen and I and shopped and walked thru the Demo garden which is coming along very nicely I bought some peacock fern which is a small irdesent green, it changes color depending on the light and a coral nymph sage plant which is a lovely pinky peach color. I dont know what all Karen got but she bought too!!!..lol.. All in all they had lots of great things to puruse and purchase with wonderful prices on them but the best part was seeing everyone and catching up.
Mibus Josephine and Charlene.... Dave Dude has the cone flower for you.. Ive already gave some to Lee and Ken so divy up whats left.. and Charlene... Lee has your door prize from the Houston RU
I had planned on coming but last nite Millie was not doing too well she hadn't eaten all day and wasn't going to eat so this morning I tried again and no luck so we fell back on rice in broth and finally by 10 she ate some.
She is starting to act more normal now but being such a small thing I didn't want to leave.
Karen called me and said how great it was.
I'm sorry I missed it but is kinda hard to leave when one of the dogs is sick since hubby is with them during the week and the weekend is my time to tend to problems
It was alot of fun, good times with good people! I was so glad it didn't rain like predicted!
was a good day.....made a little money.....but more importantly......got to spend some quality time with some good folks........even learned a little about incubating peafowl and other fowls eggs....and even a little about worming the same. Go figure! :~)
