FINALLY-EGGS!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

My peahen is laying eggs this week. Her first time. I can't say how eggcited I am.

Ferndale, WA

I don't really know much about peacocks, and hens, but they must be very large eggs. Do people eat their eggs or just hatch them? Do you also have peacocks for fertile eggs. Pic's of them and the eggs would be nice and a hearty congratulations to you. Hay.

Congrats! Very pretty birds. How big is a peahen egg, about the size of a goose egg?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

yeah, i think that is a good comparison.
ethel should lay 1 more egg saturday, then sit on them

Fred and Ethel, I love it! Do they always lay eggs in fours? If you take them away, do they lay four more?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

porkpal, they lay 3-4. i don't know what would happen if i took them away.

JordanKitty - You'll have to excuse Porkpal, she's one of our resident comedians so it's sometimes hard to tell when she's being serious....lol.

porkpal, i took ethels eggs and she started laying again, so i9 guess this answers your question?

WOW cool...

It works with pigeons. They lay two eggs. If you take one they lay a replacement. If you take both they start over. I don't know how they control it. (?)
