Woke up this morning to find a new lamb in the paddock. Anya had an 8lb single ewe lamb. She is a good momma. We had a little trouble later on with one of the other ewes chasing the baby and butting her, but I have penned up the offender and threatened her with a trip to freezer camp if she doesn't straighten up.
Anyway, here is the new lamb!
Start of lambing, 2010
Oh! I love lambs....
{{{Envy...envy...envy...}}}
Catscan you love everything!!! That is an awful cut critter though. I can't make up my mind which is the cutest? Lambs or Kid's. I just keep flip flopping, can't help myself...
Oh that is just too adorable. Love it.
oh so sweet! wish i had the time to add some of those to my farm but shearing is definitely beyond anything i can work in... taking care of vegetables, and soon chickens (5 more days!), and all that after working all day... nope will just have to admire sheep sadly from afar.
Beautiful lambs, what kind are they? Babies are so much fun!
We have Icelandic sheep. We love them for their wool, ease of lambing (usually) and good mothering abilities. We have five more due to lamb, and three look like they are getting close!
I thought by their coat they were used for wool, they're really beautiful. I hope you'll post pics of the new babies too! How exciting!
oh it's a black one! i love the black ones! if i had sheep i would want all black ones... i know tells you a ton about me right there...
I would take them in any color, they're adorable!
