My Mother in law passed last year and I inherited several plants from her. She grew lots of stuff in pots. My DH hauled them out of Florida and trucked them up to NC. Luckily I have a small greenhouse.
I have no idea what this is. Please help me ID it.

Do you know anything about this plant? What is it grown for? It looks like quite an old specimen. Who knows how long she's had it in that pot. Is it grown as an ornamental in Florida?
