I had about 25 pots in all sizes of EE that got hit by the freeze.. when I heard it was going to hit I placed them into a large yard cart with wooden walls then loaded it up with leaves to try to insulate them...I added some blankets and plastic as a last layer to try to keep them dry.When I uncovered them it looked like they all were gonners.They were mushy where I could see them and touch them after digging around.. I had a huge pot that I could barely move that I had planted a Alocasia in. While it wasnt a big purchase 13.00 for a single bulb was a chunk of change for me to spend. I have been checking it everyday to see if it had made it...like the others what was exposed was mushy and nasty.. well as of today I have over half of my EE showing signs of new growth and my Alocasia has 4 new shoots coming up from the sides.. WHOOO HOO!!! Im so happy!! Ill be able to make more castings now..and hopefully by fall they will all be in ground so I wont have to worry as much when this happens again....... so be patient everyone.. most things will come back but only in their own time...lol..

I've also had some stuff that i thought was gone start to come back.Everything is so late this year, but on the other hand some things like my roses have never looked better..And the wildflowers this year..wow!
Almost everything has come back but like you said rather late. I am still waiting on a yellow butterfly weed but I suspect he is gone.

I agree completely... my plants that took a big hit this year have been very slow to come back but even my angel trumpet and my tropical hibiscus are showing signs of regrowth.
btw...sorry for the stupid and probably obviously answered question...but what is EE?
