Plumeria Resurrection

Gainesville, FL(Zone 9a)

I had a tutti frutti plumeria baby plant about 3 feet tall in the ground. To save it during the freeze, I cut it off at ground level and took the top indoors. I figured the root would freeze. So today I'm cleaning out that area of weeds, and I see something .... it's plumeria leaves! Tiny little leaflings springing up from the 1/4 stem left above the ground! Isn't nature wonderful?

Tomorrow I'm digging her up and giving her a pot of her own.

I'm glad it lived. Next time, just dig up the whole plant; they don't mind sitting without soil for a while during the winter when they are dormant.
Now you have two.... ^_^
