Cat conjunctivitis

Fond Du Lac, WI(Zone 4a)

When we adopted our mackerel tabby, Kayli, she had very runny eyes, which the vet called conjunctivitis, and said it would be chronic. He said he could give me antibiotic ointment to use if the eye matter seemed to have pus in it (colored yellow, or green). However, it hasn't come to that. I wipe her eyes and remove the "crusties" and she's been pretty good over the winter. But for the last two weeks one eye is really watery all the time. Thanks in advance for any suggestions on what I can do treat her eyes.
