CLOSED: Have: Daylilies, Mints, Perennials 4 Tropical Looking Plants

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

I'm creating a tropical looking garden that gets mostly full sun. This garden will also be used for weddings, family reunions and other gatherings. I intend to have a little beach and pond with waterfall, as well as a Tiki bar and several pergolas (which we're starting to build this week). So I'm looking for anything to make this area (the entire east side of my yard from front to back) alluring and relaxing. There are a couple of small shady spots, but most of the yard is sun.

I'm looking for hardy plants that are tropical looking with big leaves, big blooms, etc. Altho I'm in zone 7, this area is more of a zone 8 microclimate. So I'm looking for:

Windmill Palms
Needle Palms
Dwarf Blue Palmettos
dinnerplate hibiscus
unusual yuccas
large variegated plants
black/purple leafed plants
Illustris or Black Magic elephant ears or other hardy ees
Cyperus Alternifolius ( http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/2532/)
Black Lace Elderberry

anything that would make you feel like you're in a tropical paradise. But it has to be hardy in zone 7/8. It doesn't have to be necessarily "tropical", but anything show-stopping that would make guests say WOW!

I'm also interested in unusual mints that I don't have like orange mint, variegated pineapple mint, and others.

The only "tropicals" I can think of that I'm looking for are unusual ornamental potato vines (Sweet Heart, Bewitched, Etc) and Purple Fountain grass.

I'm also interested in sun/moon or butterfly metal sculptures to hang on my new gates on my privacy fence. Below is a picture of one of my gates adorned with a sun sculpture.

I do NOT trade rooted plants for cuttings or seeds. I don't have time to baby anything, so I need well rooted plants. Cuttings you rooted last fall would be fine, but seedlings that just sprouted recently wouldn't survive my neglect.

What I currently have to trade is the following:

DAYLILIES (each trade will be at least a double fan.):

You can see pictures of these in my photo album at:

Pirate Lord
Catherine Woodbery
Custard Candy (triple fan)
Dacquiri
Frans Hals (triple fan)
Sight Delight
Red Ribbons
Happy Returns
Grape Adventure
In the Dark
Little Wart
Rocket City
Butterfly Kisses
UR11 - an unnamed pink
UR20 - an unnamed peachy pink
UR21 - an unnamed red - looks like a Munson daylily

OTHER PERENNIALS:

Silver Mint
Spice Mint
Spearmint
Ginger Mint
Blackberry Mint
Bronze Fennel
Creeping Jenny
Purple violets
Purple Obedient Plant
Chameleon Plant
Clerodendron Bungeii
Purple Garden Phlox
Black Moudry Grass
Pink Soapwort
Arundo Donax
Blue/purple Spiderwort
Blue Flag Iris - great for around ponds (similar to Louisiana iris)
Rose of Sharon - Blushing Bride - double pale pink blooms - rooted cutting made last fall
Showy Pink Evening Primrose ( http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/53444/ )

I'm looking for:

Dark leafed sweet potato vines like Blackie, Black Heart, Sweet Heart, Bewitched, etc.

If interested in trading, let me know. I prefer to do larger trades to get the most of my postage costs. I won't trade for just one or two plants.

I ship plants in boxes not envelopes. If you ship that way too, please contact me.

I've been stiffed a few times recently by people with no feedback. For this reason, if you have no feedback, I'll wait to receive your shipment before I send mine. You can read my feedback and see that I deliver.

I guess I'm off to search the net for places that sell the plants I'm looking for. I'll mark this closed so it will slip quietly off the page...
