"Chinese" sweet and sour sauce?

Sure wish our search was working....

Anyway, I bought a box of medium size breaded shrimp (frozen) in the grocery. Fixed part of them, and they were not particularly flavorful. I know - don't buy stuff like this, but they were on sale, I had a coupon - and, well..... LOL

I am trying to think of some way to fix them that will help the flavor.

I thought of the "Sweet and Sour" chicken, or pork you get in Chinese places. The thick red or orange sauce. If I knew how to make that, I could add pineapple, onion, peppers etc and use up this frozen shrimp.

Anyone have a good recipe?
