Anasazi beans are my everyday favorite bean and now that I live so far from where I know they're grown (southwestern CO), I've decided to try to grow some for myself and have a few in the ground now. Has anyone grown them? Are they pole or bush beans? Accounts I've found indicate both, and I have them situated under a trellis.
Thank you for any input.

Has anyone grown Anasazi Beans?
I too love Anasazi beans- after a trip through Dove Creek,CO years ago and buying them, I have been getting them by mail ever since. Ther are the BEST beans in the world! I have never tried growing them, but gave hubby's brother some to take home to TN. He said they grew great-I think they are pole beans. I just don't have space for them. Try them and see- good luck!
Yes, Dove Creek beans. Some years ago I made soup and seasoning blends-including Anasazi Chili featuring their beans. Shipping is high, but better than doing without. Growing my own would be even better.
Believe it or not, Dove Creek Milling has/had a registered trademark on the phrase "anasazi bean" so every time I used it in recipes or ingredients, etc. I had to superscript the little R behind it and give credit. Sheesh. Fortunately, they gave me permission without charge.
I found out at a Durango craft show early in my soup mixing enterprise when an attorney who said he represented them visited my booth.
Wow-you could eat for a long time on $2000 of beans!
My bean plants are just starting to climb!
