How do you like my dragonfly? This pic might be better taken in the late afternoon, as the tail has blue glass that should be beautiful with afternoon sun shining through the pieces.
Blkraven2, would you post a link to the water feature you made? I'd like to see that.
Also, if anyone else has yard art of any type, please feel free to post it, as I'm a yard art freak.
Yardy Arty
beautiful!
You made that, right? I like homemade stuff the most.
Come on, anybody else?
This is my second shout out for pics of yard art, I can't be the only one out there that has a thing for outdoor decorations.

ive been collecting metal "stuff 'to make some yard art with that is once I learn how to weld...lol my neighbor said hed teach me.. I mean how hard can it be??? its not like I need perfect joins for what I want to do... Ive seen some cool stuff...last year they had a cool long horn cow at Dragonfly that I loved....I could just see him in a patch of different ornamental grasses grazing...
I am looking for some metal juavalinas...
C
I saw some at Dragonfly in Nac a few weeks ago.. I can stop by weds and check it out for you..take some pics and get prices if youd like.. they might be gone cause stuff does sell there but Ill check it out...
Anette_M, your piece looks just my type!
I've had to run our of town a few days and can't wait to pull it up upon my computer upon my return.
Newtonsthirdlaw, you javalanIina idea sounds really cool. Great idea!
Blkraven, I'll bet you could weld in no time flat. I was one of two of the first woman (and the 1st one fired) to train to weld by B&R many years ago and I could do it. You are artsy inclined and I'll bet you could have a business up and running in no time. Thanks for generously offering to go by Dragonfly for me, I'll run by there myself when I get back into town. Is that the new nursery on Mound? That's where
I bought my dragonfly. My dragonfly was on consignment.
Later y'all. Thanks for the pics, offers and ideas.
some of my wrok is theres on consignment.. nothing has been sold yet but Im always hopeful.. looking forward to weds..we are still on for weds arent we???
Ran into a Starbucks and hookup to see Annette_M's yard art. AWESOME! Really my type.
Yep, we're on Blkraven. The 14th @ noon wasn't it?
Ill be there.. I ll have one of my hats on so you know its me!!!
"Nifty" dragonfly, but not too sure about the nettle. Ouch!
Soon as my goofy repaints the chickens, I will post a pic. Right now, he's out of paint!
I'll wear a hat too. The cap worn at the 10k that says Find Your Happy Pace, or a blue floppy.
Yes, she's quite a tallented lady.
Im glad you liked it.. I enjoy making them and I cant keep them all myself now can I..???..so I spread them around...I so enjoyed meeting you and the time we chatted just flew by.. we never did get on the subject of the compost from Jacksonville..lol.. Id love to meet up again.. just say the word.. we could set a date for every month or so so its a regular thing..lol.
Sounds like a plan.
newtonsthirdlaw
I stopped by dragonfly and looked for javalinas...they had pigs but none like what I think you want. I know theres a difference between them.and these were just plain pigs..lol.. Ill keep an eye out for you in my adventures...I did pick up some small water garden plants for 1.99 each.. I got a dwarf cattail, some creeping jenny and a dwarf papayrs I thought that was a fair price. Its hard to find these things in my area and the stuff there is usually pricey 3 inc pots but they will grow quickly
If you girls want some of the compost from Jacksonville, buzz me prior to making the trip as they run out often. www.soiltherapy.org. The good stuff is about $20 a truck load.
If you come see me I will give you some good water plants. I owe you some plants from your last visit up this way. You know that my yard is open season for either of you.
Some of your art work would look great in our Demo Garden. I hope you can make our Plant Sale on the 24th. You can see our progress on the projects.
I have contacted the Art students at Lon Morris College and hope they make us some things for the garden. I am in charge of the Tropical theme garden area and want tropical stepping stones for a pathway through what I hope becomes a jungle.
Look forward to seeing you soon.
D
a tropical stepping stones huh?? for you anything!!! need to know how many.. but we'll talk at the sale.. Im delaying my trip by a few days so I will be at the plant sale to see you for sure...

Look forward to seeing you guys and showing off some of our projects.
Saturday is soon. My place looks like a nursery so will be glad to stop watering things and getting the pick up loads of plants moved. We finally got our waterline trenched and we now have water at our Demo Garden. Dragging 400 feet of hose and then pulling it back for storage was not a fun chore. Guess you can see why I am excited about this happening.
Thanks for the soiltherapy.org link. Saving that link. Thanks Dde. Won't you miss the exercise from dragging hose around? Makes washboard clothes cleaning sound easy.
