Master Gardeners Plant Sale
April 24, 2010

The Cherokee County Master Gardeners Association will hold their annual Spring Plant Sale April 24 at the Texas Forest Service located at 1015 SE Loop 456 in Jacksonville. The sale will be from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This year there will also be Mini Seminars beginning at 10:00 with discussion on Composting, Propagation, Deer resistant plants, Aggressive/Invasive plants and Daylilies.
Most plants will be Master Gardener member grown. There will also be Specialty growers from outside Cherokee County offering unique plants. A large variety of flowering trees and shrubs will also be available. Come early for best selection.
If your landscape suffered from this past winter freezes come get some nice replacement plants and discuss gardening ideas. While you are here you may also wish to visit the Ruth B. Nichols Arboretum, the Master Gardener’s Demonstration Garden and our new project, the Hazel Tilton Outdoor Classroom. This fund raising event helps support CCMGA projects that beautify our county. Please come out and support our efforts.

WOW! I have plans for that day with a ticket already paid for but DANG! this is gonna rival the famed SFA plant sale!

DH and I will discuss this and try to come. A quick run to see DH at her base in OK has also been discussed and needs to be done.

We would love to come and see you and this fab sounding program. It's
nothing short of spectular what you and others have done up in J'ville way!

Wishing you and everyone much, much success my friend.

Lunch is on us this time. We'll bring the 'lil RV and a grill and put out the awning if it rains. Can't promise a spread like your DW puts on but if nothing else we
can nuke some corndogs and open a can of beans... lolol.

We have expanded a bit to include organic veggies and range free eggs. Hope this catches on and it becomes a healthy Farmers Market addition to our sale.
Come on down !!!

Rose- cannot believe that grown girl is the one I gave a bottle and rocked to sleep on the front porch in Galveston. Someone is getting old.

Letting you know that we have moved the sale until May 1. The rain, hail, wind and storms require us to move to this rain date.
Hope you can still plan on coming down and joining us, same time, same place just a week away.
Thanks,
David
