i know there is a pets forum, but i wanted to tell my friends here!!!! i got a new dog, darkbrown (basically black) labrador puppy!!!!!!!!

How about CHOKO ? CHIKO? KOKO? BRENDON? BRUCE? MIKO? LOBO? ....or WESTO?!? :)
My puppy in the picture is called Dino...his sister is called Dina. :) They're a mixed breed of Japanese spitz and chowchow.

My dog is called Boolie after the character played by Dan Ackroyd in "Driving Miss Daisy". I always thought that was a silly name for a man but a good dogs name. The neighbors call him Boo, Boodles, Boozy, Boo Boy, whatever.....LOL
Oh Isaac, I am so happy for you, I can just smell that new puppy breath....I am sure that you are having lots of fun with him and doing a lot of cuddling!

Congratulations! I would suggest you get him neutered asap - makes for a much better-behaved dog.
Why not wait and see what kind of personality he has before you name him? Something might come to mind. For instance, my cat wasn't named until she was 6 weeks old, and she like just sitting looking down on us, like she was watching over us, so we named her "Angel". My cat I had to find a home for was named Grayson, because he was gray, and he was the only son I had in the house at the time. The name just suit him the first time I saw him.
I agree with dsa - see what he "tells" you his name is.

Hi all, after long deliberation and discussion, we decided on the name Dug!! :-) Thank you all for the input, and sorry it took me so long to gt back to you, i have been off for a couple of days!
