CLOSED: Duck questions

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

I went through all my former ID posting and I don't think that I asked about these ducks. I took this photo last November in Arthur Storey Park here in Houston, TX. I think the brown one is a female Mallard. The white one must be some kind of domesticated duck? No idea what funny face is. Will you help me? Thanks!

Here's another one of the love birds.

Here's the ugly duck. I'm pretty sure somebody did tell me what this was. I must have forgotten to write it down. Sorry about that. Hope you'll help again.

I believe your love birds are a female Mallard (brown one) and a Domestic Mallard (white one)

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

All three are 'plastic' (escaped domesticated birds); left two are both derived from Mallard, third from muscovy Duck.

The female Mallard-type has fairly normal Mallard plumage colour, but can be distinguished from wild birds by its fat (high-floating) rear end.

Thanks y'all!

I like the whole idea of a "high-floating rear end." Seems like it should be a descriptive phrase for people. I can hear myself thinking, "she's very nice, but she has a bit of a high-floatin' rear end."
