How cute, I love that buff color. Have you had Favarolles before? I have never had any but I remember someone saying they were really nice chickens. That looks like a Fred Astair step...LOL.

Darling dancer there! Did you Bingo Dot their heads? LOL Too cute!! Cody's Dad Bingo Dotted my dog one year for Easter.. She is mostly white.. and had huge blue and pink dots on her when I got home from work one day.. LOL

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

OHHH Bingo dot, that just might be what I need... I have a few eggs in the bator that are not mine and the guy wants to have the chicks if they hatch... I was wondering how to tell them apart, and I never thought about bingo dots..

Bridgewater, ME

They came form McMurry that way,the lady that ordered the two favarolles for me wanted them bingo dotted so she would know which two were mine.Hay I have never had favarolles before but had seen pictures and there faces are the cutest when they are full grown. From what I have read about them they are very quiet and friendly and can be bullied when they are bigger because of that.I had only ordered those two then got to thinking that they would get cold if there wasn`t more of them so she sold me four of her buffs, and I have four buffs comming in May 3rd,hoping when it is time to intergrate into the older flock in the fall that this will work out ok.Didn`t plan on having ten new ones, but I`m letting my chickens free range a lot this summer so I may loss some,if not there is always the chiken swap.

Chicken swap?

Bridgewater, ME

Its a swap for swaping your chickens or selling them or giving them away,a few poultry keepers started this last year,a couple times a year some of us get togather and see the different breads and trade or buy,so far its not that beg but more peaple are getting chickens so maybe this year it will be bigger.
