Last year I had really huge bell peppers, but I planted 4 per EB, the directions say 8????? Won't that make the peppers smaller? From my experience last year I decided to plant my chocolate bells, one each in the square footer I bought from Gardener's Supply as it really is not big enough for a tomato, the reservoir is not deep enough nor big enough and there isn't much depth to the planter, so decided to plant the chocolate bell in it instead of a tomato. I am going to be getting 16 bell peppers soon. 4 Goliath, 4 Big Bertha, 4 Fat and Sassy, and 4 Superheavyweights. I planted 4 Fat and Sassy's last year and planted 4 in an EB with good results as I had huge bell peppers. It seems like 8 would be crowding it a bit much?

How many bell peppers are you planting per EB this year?
Fat and Sassy, I thought you were talking about me, LOL.
Joy, I read your post on the EarthBox Forum. Like you said, you had "FANTASTIC RESULTS" planting only four. Perhaps do a repeat? Either that or follow what EB says. Then you can say, "Neener neener, my 4 bells are bigger."
Mark (RayDerPhan) and I plant our peppers 6 per EB, but our zone and climate are probably different than yours. You may want to post your zone so people can help you better when you ask questions.

Annapet: Thanks I might try 6 per EB this year since I have 16 of them to plant, that will save me an EB for another mater right? LOL
