How appropriate: new life on Easter!

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

Maybe the Easter Bunny needed to bring you a new digital camera?

Ferndale, WA

Hey Grey, I'd be happy if someone who knew cameras would just tell me what is the best digital camera to buy, then I'd buy it. I know nothing about electronics as you can tell by my ability to work this computer...LOL SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME...

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

how wonderful Hay. They are so cute.
I love my Panasonic DMC-FZ50 Just point & shoot

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

Dear Mr. Haystack,
Nanny showed me your baby chicks, I like them. When they get bigger can I play with them? We have eggs in our elevator, maybe we have some too and they can grow up and be friends. Mr Haystack the Easter Bunny came to my ranch today I got golf balls by Larry and Tiffany (The Turkeys) oh Mr Haystack you can play with my new soccer ball too. I am learning to talk to my turkeys, Nanny can do it better. I got to go to bed Mr Haystack, tell your new chickens I said good night,
Love Billy..

PS Haystack, I love my Nikon D80 although somewhat more advanced that the normal digital which I am thinking you are looking for, but Nikon does make a good camera...Roseane... and Congrats on the babies.

Ferndale, WA

Donna is that a digital? How much? Thanks Hay.

Ferndale, WA

Lord knows how many times I have wanted to hug that little man, I can't wait to meet him and Nanny...Thanks Roseane, you sure know how to get me going. Hay.

Awwww Easter Babiez! Congrats Hay! They sure are cute!

Hi ZZ's, When are your seramas due to hatch, sorry I can't seem to catch up. Hay.

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

I loved my Panasonic DMC-FZ10. I love my Nikon D40X as well. Great camera. If you just want a good point & shoot digital. Try Canon's power shot line. A series is the only one i know about tho but they were pretty good for simple photography. I had a A20? i believe but they don't make them any more. Still do somewhere. Best little camera I ever had. Its the only one i can shoot good video with still. Takes amazing video of the dirt bikes.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

They are due Wednesday Hay.. But only 2 went to the hatcher.. :(

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

yes it is digital Hay. I got mine for 300 about 3 yrs ago. I shopped around for 2 weeks looking for the best price. I have seen them for as much as 600 There is a new model out too. Just google Panasonic Lumix cameras

Ferndale, WA

Thanks Donna, I appreciate the information.

Thanks Grey and Ms Jester, I have copied all the info and I'm going shopping tomorrow.

Hey ZZ's I picked up a very nice scale from walmart for thirty five bucks, got home and realized I had gotten a dietary food scale, OOP'S. Took it back today and got one that weighs in grams, ounces, and lbs. I will be weighing Dot tonight so I can let you know what class he fits into. I'm still betting he's in A Class. Howie

(Zone 5b)

Congratulations on your Easter hatch! 100% hatch is pretty exciting, cute babies!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Well, I was only guessing Dot had graduated cause he had matured sooo much! He was at 13 ounces when he left.. and he was not fully mature. Let's hope he only got polish and no weight! LOL Not that being a B class would take anything away from him for sure! He is so great it doesn't matter what he weighs!! :)

I'm just curious cause I'm weighing everything so I can learn to guess size a little better. You can't tell by photos at all. I can make one of the "teens" look like it weighs 2 pounds! LOL

Congrats on ya babies Hey!!That easter bunny is awesome i wish he would have brought me serama chicks.I did bring the old scale in but its not what i need.Ill look at what they have at wal mart tomorrow some time and try to weigh them. This pair is very flighty tho.I dont know if they will stand still for it but im going to try inside a cage so they dont get away from me.I havent had them long but the hen hasent laid anything yet.Im wondering how long it ususally takes for them to settle in?

How do you weigh a chicken?

Ferndale, WA

She_Wolfie, I picked one up at walmart today for only eight dollars, it only weighs up to seven pounds, but, it weighs in grams, kilograms, ounces, and lbs. So its great for the Seramas, and weighing your eggs as well. For eight bucks it's great. Here are some pic's of weighing Dot, He is my wonderful rooster I received from ZZ's. I weighed him in the dark as they pretty much won't move in the dark. It was eight oclock. Not a great pic but it worked out fine to get the weight. Hay.

Dot is a handsome roo!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

You can also put something on it, (like a box) and set it to zero.. then put the bird in the box. I've had to do that before.

Dot has gotten bigger! He looks amazing Hay!

AAWWWWW So precious!

Ferndale, WA

He weighed in at 450 grams, B Class now but he has to do more exercising, and less eating. He is a wonderful gift. All that see him marvel, I just smile...LOL

Here are some pic's of what I think are the most gorgeous seramas I have ever seen. This is a pair of pure whites, they will not be sold, and will become a part of my breeding stock. I always hoped i'd get some solid whites but never really knew if it would happen, They are the daughters of Booker the Looker. Another of the gifted roo's I received from ZZ's. If it sounds like I'm bragging, I am, but I'm not bragging about anything I did, but I'm bragging on what ZZ's did. I will never forget your gift my dear ZZ's and I only hope to pass it on. So this is Chloe and Shiloh. Tomorrow they will be fitted with leg bands for identification. When I see them together they look like a pair of doves to me and they are so beautiful.

Shilo and Chloe are eleven weeks old and both girls tip the scale at 170 grams.

The incubator behind Chloe has five more seramas that should hatch on Sunday. There are als six more in my Hovabator that hopefully will hatch in two weeks. Hay 170 grams is 51/2 ozs. Incredible.
