CLOSED: Cormorants???

I took this shot ot two birds way off in the distance. I was thinking Cormorant. But wHen I got them on the computer I noticed the "ear" tufts on the sides of their heads at the top.

Are these still Cormorants?

"Double crests" - duh on me, so that's what those "ears" are. That never crossed my mind.

They only have the crests for a fairly short period in and just before the breeding season, which is why they tend to get forgotten about ;-)
