1st time that I have done a mini garden and it is a lot of fun. I have 2 micro mini roses to add, one on the right of the pagoda & the other in front of the rock between the grasses. The garden centers don't have a lot of stock yet, but I think I will swap out the baby tears for Irish moss when it is available.
Miniature Japanese Garden
Lovely.
You did a wonderful job, so pretty and peaceful!
joanna what a beauty your little garden is. What is the pink blooming plant beside the pagoda house? I really love your tiny landscaping with the water and bridge, the stone, the people, awww just everything! Good job girl.
Thanks. I have a couple of micro mini roses to add Thursday night, then I'm going to enter it in a amateur container competition this weekend at a local garden show. The pink bloomer is a heather. The theme of the container is Blooms & Branches
Where do you find the micro mini roses? I can't find them anywhere. Good luck in the competition and do let us know how the Blooms and Branches turns out.
I ordered the roses from The Heather Farm in BC Canada
Thank for the info The Heather Farm. I'll check that out.
It turned out so pretty. I just love it. Sorry the micro didn't arrive in time but the mini roses are lovely too. I just replanted my fairy garden taking out the succulents and added my bonsai azaleas and put it outside. I posted pics on the old thread if you're interested. I wanted to thank you for being such an inspiration to all of us with your beautiful designs. Joyce
Oh joanna that is fantastic. How old is your daughter? She did a great job. Don't you just love Diamond Frost Euphorbia for tiny gardens! I'm anxious to hear how the judging goes. Her design is so imaginative. Wish I had a tiny garden buddy living close to me. Everyone is so scattered but I am thankful for DG where we can all express ourselves.
Joyce
She is 12 & did it all by herself. She even picked out the plants herself
That's wonderful to share that love with your daughter. I have a son and 2 daughters and none of them share my love for plants. All of them have the take 'em or leave 'em attitude. My mind just doesn't go there! I have to stop, look, ooh and ahh. There is still hope - I have 6 grandchildren! My mom is a master gardener so I do have someone to flower talk with. You are creating some wonderful memories with your daughter I know she will cherish.
