Elephant ears question

Wells, TX(Zone 8b)

Last year was my first year for EE, they were in pots.. they did real well but of course they drank water like no tomorrow but it was worth it to me.. then we get the freeze.. I had the pots in a wooden sided yard trailer filled with leaves then covered to help insulate them since I had nowhere else to put them.. Im checking them today and some are gone but some Im not sure about.. the top part is mush but the rest of it is hard.. do you think they will come back?? should I dump them all the way out of the dirt. cut off the bad. let it callus up for 24 to 48 hrs then replant them?? any advice would be very welcome.. I dont want to toss them if I can save them..
thanks

Get them out where they can get some sun and only water if they are dry, and wait and see.

I don't think you are going to the ETRU but one way or the other I can fix you up with EE. Maybe I can give them to someone who is going to a RU that you are going to also. Then again I do not know what I have yet.

Ken boy.. Ill only be at the gulf coast RU this year.. However David is getting some stuff for me from other people at the ETRU then Im going to pick it up from him the following week.. if you could spare some Im not fussy as to what kind Ill make sure you get a huge EEcasting .. Ill be seeing him the 24th and can give it to him then to give to you at the RU
THANK YOU!
