Hello everybody !!! I wanted to share with you guys the bloom on this beauty. It's fragrant and stays open for only 1 day. for those of you who don't know this is a primary hybrids of caerulea x alata. Enjoy
Passiflora Belotii
gorgeous. i don't have any flowers yet. i have one from logees that fruits called possum purple. hopefully i can get some fruit this year.
MJ..yours had to be marked wrong..as far as I can see yours is not Belotti..it's Lavender Lady and what a bloomer..Belotti has flat petals..I have both...Carolyn
your's looks solid color..belotti is not...I'm still saying l.lady..maybe somebody else will chime in here.
Carolyn,
I think your right...but wonder why I'm getting the flat petals? The "moma' did die back tho, and I'm not seeing any new growth, which I think the belotii would be hardy here.
ok, who's up for some "horse tradin" ?
roxanne? Carolyn?

I put mine in the garage for the winter, it died back and I'm not seeing any green as of yet. I'll let you know.
Roxanne
L.Lady sure should be hardy there..think it would be here dying back to the ground..but I have never put in the ground...My belotti looks good in my garage, but I cut most of it back in the fall and didn't root a cutting of anything this yr..well I had rooted a couple of l. lady..one for a friend and thought I might try one in the ground..there's another smaller plant in the pot but I can't be sure it's belotti..but don't know why it's in the same pot..has smaller leaves and more pointed is why I'm suspicious..I can take 1 cutting from belotti and cross your fingers that it roots..later on when it grows, if not I will take more..had lots in the fall when I cut back..but you know that's always the way it is..LOL
Roxxane..if you are looking..I have cleopatra canna on your list..or when it comes back.
Carolyn, well, my "Lavender Lady' that I thougt was belotti still is not showing any signs of coming back. The root stock is very "muschey" so I think I will just plant the "cutting" which is now 3 feet tall that was in the greenhouse in the same spot and if "mom" comes back well it will be quite thick there, if not, then it should grow well in the same spot. But I will be sure to have cuttings to over winter in case we have another winter like this one. But now I want a belotti too!' "alata is growing like crazy as well as edulis mcCain, Inspiration is kinda just sitting there not doing much, as it as done since I got it, I think from you so I'm wondering if I need to be doing something different with it??????
I thinks some are just not as vigerous as others..it will probably start going since the weather is warming up.
hi all, dont mean to interrupt, but i do have a question about my passiflora incense... will it come back ? i had it planted on a big pot last summer but the gulf fritillaries gobbled it up to nothing.. we had a very cold winter here zone 8a florida and was wondering if i can expect it to come out anytime soon or just forget about it and buy another one if i can find one at our local nurseries.
so far i havent seen any signs of life breaking from the root... is it dead? any reply will be greatly appreciated. i did enjoy having it last summer as i have lots of butterflies in my garden and it made my garden a butterfly heaven for the first time...
