Man Catscan, it was windy as heck. Tin was blowing off shelters, electric fence lines snapping, plants were getting defrocked, and there the pigs were, running around having a blast. I was actually planting some lettuce and could hear them above the roar of the wind. It must have stirred them up!

Sure a lot better than a pen so full they can't move!

Amen CG's, Amen.

Oh man, that was fun! I LOVE that lil black one with the 4 white socks! Made me want to run around with them! How cute. I dream of my own place where I can have that in MY yard! Thank you for sharing such a darling video.

You're welcome ZZ!

Cute factor is off the charts!!! I just love those little spotted pigs. Brings tears to my eyes wishing I had a nice place for my pigs. I'd not butcher my sow if I had a nice place for her. They have spent the winter in the horse trailer. So sad but could not be helped. We will butcher both of them soon.

How do you water yours so they don't nasty up the pen? Your pigs are clean. Mine are filthy.

The key to clean pigs is giving them enough space.

Hey there dawg: Loved the videos, very interesting, and the piglets are adorable. I could not tell from the video for sure, but, do you let those pigs free range? Looks that way. Thanks Haystack

Cajun, I use 30 gallon barrels with a nipple attached, and I have a wallow in every pasture that I dug with my tractor. The pigs drink out of the wallow about as much as the barrels. I also have a few stock tanks I use with the sows. The pigs are clean now, but when it gets hot they'll start coating themselves with mud.

Haystack, I have the pigs in lots that vary in size from an acre to about 2 1/2 acres, all divided with turbowire. I also have 3 sacrifice lots that are about 1/4 acre each. I use them in winter when theirs nothing growing in the fields. We call them sacrifice lots because no ground cover is maintained, they're basically just dirt lots.

Your setup sounds perfect. The piglets drink water from the nipples.
