Great photos! I have a little Bristol's Goose Egg and it is my favorite because it just loves to bloom. Maybe mine will look as good as the photo one day.

Wow what a way to wake up this morning!
All the shows going on right now!
Absolutely stunning plants.
Thank you for sharing your pictures with us Lynn.
Bonnie, you got some real cuties too! They let you buy a show plant? That's awesome! I'm not sure I would ever be able to part with a plant if I entered it in a show *lol*. But we don't have shows like that locally.
I am going to one that is 2 hours away in September and it will be my first show. I'm quite excited. I can only hope to see some beautiful plants like the ones pictured above :)
What a great time it must be!

It is surprising how many people don't want to take their plants back home with them. I asked a couple people why and they had different answers. Everyone I think is worried that they have been with so many other plants and worry there is a chance they have insect or disease. - but then they will buy other plants, so if they are going to isolate, I dont see what difference that makes. Other times they are not going straight home and they don't want to have to worry about a plant being in a hot car/cold car. The other answer I got was they are ready to move on to another plant. Many of the plants at our local convention were for sale, most went for $7, bigger ones went for $10 and the huge ones were $20. All reasonable I thought....guess they were priced to sell.

Tish those are some valid responses from growers. I can see were one might receive a ribbon for a plant but then want the challenge of growing a new plant for the next year's show. That makes sense. Those are GREAT prices. Even hanging baskets of hoyas at Home Depot or Lowes are anywhere from $10 to $16. For a nice gessie those are wonderful prices. Especially since you don't have to pay shipping on them! It's the shipping that kills ya *lol*.

WOW!!!! Oh, Lynn...please don't forget to post your new babies. Nice pics from the show.
Mrsbonnie, you have some beautiful new ones to play with. There are no shows in this area and I think that is a good thing (grin)
Thanks for sharing, Ladies!

In actuallity those show plants will only be that once. Since the AV grows from the center, you have to disgard the outer leaves, that center will never , or almost never be a show plant again. The only way to achieve another show plant is to set the leaves and make new plant/plants and then know how to force it, time it so that it'll be like the mother.
So many frequent show people don't care to take them home. Prefer the $.
beautiful plants in all pictures. Love the trailer. Never did well with trailers.
Tish thanks again for all you sent . That Fisherman's Paradise was in many shows when I was growing. It's an oldie like me.
Wow Bonnie!! You made a great haul.
I didn't stay late enough to see what they wanted for the show plants, but there were certainly some tempting ones. Our local society usually has very reasonable prices on everything.Mostly,I bought starters. The big plants were not much more expensive, but I like to watch things grow and this way I don't run out of room so quick LOL.
I had a great time and spoke to a lot of nice people, asked a lot of questions too.I had a very nice chat with the young man who grows the beautiful Streps.
Helene traded me some fabric for plants/leaves...so thank YOU for the fabric! I really enjoy sharing plants with people.
Helene sent me pictures of some of her plants when she used to grow them for show and they were amazing! Huge! Beautiful! I can see her having a lot of empty shelf space after a show and sale! Me, I don't show I just sale...as in buy more plants! ha.
tish
Glad you brought that up, Tish. Sorry, all...this will be O/T for a minute....So many crafty members on here. Does anyone have a "simple" pattern for Roman Shade curtains that can be put on a curtain rod instead of a board attached to the wall? Any ideas?
Thanks all :)
Connie
Awesome Lynn. Thanks for posting your pictures!
Bonnie,More get finds, you ladies are lucky ducks to have shows/sales in your areas ^_^
