Losing two in only six months is hard. Still, when we got them we knew their life spans would be pretty close together. This was our third Schnauzer - Boxer pair. The decision was easy with Harley but with Cass it has been a slow downward spiral but it is time. She has literally been with us through fire and flood and we will miss the little smart aleck. Maybe Harley will be on the other side looking for her to come and boss him around some more. This will be the first time in forty years My wife and I haven't had a dog and I'm not sure at our age we will have another.
