Wow, Dana! The color is nice and dark pink. She's one of those Brugs whose color can change drastically. Mine had medium pink blooms during winter and is putting all her strength right now into maturing the 3 pods she has.

Are your Brugs outside yet? Mine are still in the greenhouse although I have to run out there every morning to open it up so it doesn't overheat. Nighttime temperatures are still bouncing all over the place — from the low 60s down into the high 30s. I don't want to run around one night having to cover all the plants because I took them out too soon.

Is she Rosabelle or Rosalla? Both are registered as singles. Rosalla blooms as a double for many. Rosalla's calx appears to have only one long split. Here you can see the long end.

You can see the split on the photos posted by gordo and angel_tree_baby.

someone add their link to a message, so I can check them out. Would
appreciate it...Thanks

Sugar Land, TX(Zone 9a)

I have bought lots of stuff from Casacola Creek. It's all on ebay.

Virginia Beach, VA(Zone 7b)

No wonder I couldn't find it. Thanks, I'll check e-bay.

Mine are out of the house loving the rain and the breezes just brought these 2 in to enjoy the flower and scent it in the 80's here today. Not much of a spring here don't have much time here for planting seed outside either.

ok betty who do you think this might be?

Dana, the reason I asked whether your Brug was Rosalla or Rosabelle is because there is no Roseabella (sp?). There is enough of a spelling error that the name could go either way.

That part of the calx where the flower exits is split into one or more lobes distinctive enough that it can be used as part of the cultivar description. Keeping in mind that sometimes mechanical damage can alter the appearance, Rosalla's calx is split once forming a fairly long lobe. Scroll down to Calx in this link http://www.abads.org/members/anatomy.htm for a photo of a 1-split calx and one lobe, although the lobe in the photo is not very long. Now compare it to the photo to the left of it. That calx has several splits forming several lobes. Rosabelle's calx is split into several lobes. In your first photo of "Roseabella", the calx is split into two not-so-long lobes. The shape of the flower as it stands now has the long slender trumpet shaped corolla very much like gordo's photo of her Rosalla http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=7286234 except that your Brug's calx has 2 splits. Since Rosalla is known to produce doubles as well, I would lean more toward it being Rosalla, but I hesitate to call it that because there are enough Brugs that look so much alike to cause problems. I would call it a noid until casacolacreek can verify what you purchased.

If you paid through paypal, you can search through your history (I've gone back well over a year) and find the purchase. It should tell you what you bought. You could also send casacolacreek an e-mail through e-bay enclosing a photo and as complete a description as possible, maybe he can clarify the matter and tell you what it is. Your best bet is to look at your history before contacting him.

i did email him if you look close maybe its not in that picture the tag with there hand writing on it spells Roseabella so I was just in bfi looking it has more of a salmon color . As soon as the plants arrive they are tagged because I know lost tags are just noids. I bought the good aluminum tags that have wire so there is no mix ups. Nice looking Brug reguardless has a nice scent too. Could be a spelling error on there part . ??? Oh well I'm enjoying it! Thanks for your help Betty!

If he wrote that plastic tag, it is definitely an error, but it doesn't answer the question "What is it?" Does it show up as Roseabella on your Paypal purchase history?

Mulberry, FL

I just went back digging around its not going back that far for some reason i have had this all winter I will give him a couple days to get back with me see what he says. Since there both flowering at the same time I'm going to cross them see what i end up with :) Heres a few of Volkers babies and a few from my friend

When you get to your history page, there should be two small rectangular dialog boxes for you to input the dates you want to see. For example from: 10/15/08 to 2/1/09. When those dates show up, click on the day or the seller on that day. The window that pops up will show the items you purchased. from that seller on that date.

Hampstead, NC(Zone 8a)

I would like to buy one like that. I'm not sure I saw where you bought it? I have a lot of pinks, white, yellow, orange, but no doubles.

Ebays full of them right now or you can look right here on the market place and buy what you like.

I searched back on paypal thats the spelling there too. But when i bought it the picture showed a single so theres a mistake there somewhere.

Clifton Springs, Australia

Whichever one it turns out to be, it's been an interesting journey.
I will keep watching....
Are they your variegated seeds?
They look good.
My seeds from Volker have just popped thru.
Can't wait,
Dianne.

Mulberry, FL

Dianne some of those are I got a a few this is my first time growing these seed so it was a journey for me on this one . Growing them in pearlite to me is the best way not so much rot. Seems like the fresh seed comes up like its ready to lift weights. were others are so slow I think maybe the seed was older needs coffee lol

I was going to cross them this morning and its a triple 3rd skirt up there have to give it a day or 2 to see if its going to try to come down

Clifton Springs, Australia

I used the perlite this time too.....I hadn't heard of this method until I received Volker's seeds....My other seeds came up ok, but in the perlite
it only took 10days and they are all up.....I like the weight lifting analogy....mine all have their little caps on their heads...or maybe they are tiny weights...lol........Did you peel them?
Can't wait for your next photo..

Mulberry, FL

I peeled mine some of his seed was tiny tiny I proably shouldn't have peeled them but i did. They are still thinking about it so theres still a chance. One order of seed arrived peeled must have been a rough ride cork was powder this was the smallest of them all looked like tiny ticks lol had to sift there to find them. Its all in good fun I had one seedling that started off with 3 starter leafs and when the first set cam it was 3 also going to keep an eye on that one It was super spot x angels flight seeds are like a box of choclates never know what your going to get lol
