Hello from the new hoya addict. With a very special DG friend's help I just started my hoya collection. Recently I was lucky to get the lacunosa Royal Flush and right now I'm rewarded with the first bloom. I love the color of the flower and beautiful hues of the leaves. She is gonna be one of my favs!
Beautiful! I've not seen or heard of lacunosa Royal Flush and I love the faint pinkish color of that bloom, really pretty! I haven't had Hoya lacunosa in awhile but remember it as being extremely fragrant. Are the blooms real fragrant on the Royal Flush?
Is this an EA plant? Are the leaves sort of red?
Yes, it's the last year's release from EA and I just got it at Home Depot. The new leaves start with dark purple shades and then turn light to dark green. You can see the leaf color on PlantFiles, I love it's mosaic-like multicolor look. The fragrance is very similar to that of lacunosa, maybe less intense but if I have more blooms I'll change my opinion lol. But in bloom department she is even with her cousin, I see more spurs coming.
