I was going to move my ducks out of my geese pen cause one of my geese is sitting on a bunch of eggs, not quite sure of the numbers, but I know there is a lot...she is sitting on hers and I think her sisters...so I was hoping for baby geese and thought that the ducks in there might cause a problem...
Anyhoo the reason I can not move my ducks now is that the turned over bathtub that was in there for the ducks, I had noticed there was getting quite a collection of eggs in there and today I noticed I was missing a female duck... So I happened to pop my head down by the opening and she was sitting there like she was sitting on a throne, so she has started sitting on eggs and she spit at me..
Then I thought I would move the injured duck and his mate from the pen in the front of my yard back close to the other ducks so I could move some feed store bought chicks out of the house to that pen.... nope that is not happening... His mate has collected 3 eggs in a box in a nest of hay I put in there for them to eat...
***Question here***So if I do move them and the box, would she continue to lay in there and maybe sit on them when done??
Oh and I have 22 eggs going in the bator tomorrow, 16 of mine and 6 of a neighbors....
Did I mention the wild flowers are starting to bloom??
Spring has Sprung....
