Happy Spring! Thanks for the link.

Is this the same nest box as in this other thread posted? http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1082116/

Pelle, this is the same owl...Molly. and this one doesn't have the distracting Social Stream going so I have switched to this site!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

The second egg just hatched!!!

Melbourne, FL

Really neat. Thanks!

I just watched and listened to 1 or 2 babies floping around, then Momma came home with a thud and settles in. How sweet. Momma appears to be asleep, yet the chicks can still be heard chirping under her warm downy blanket!

Orchard Park, NY

This is the greatest nest web cam!

I just saw a few of the chicks. So sweet!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

I read the post wrong...only 4 have hatched. There is still 1 more to hatch.

Chapin, SC(Zone 7b)

This is so cool!

Just checked in. The chicks are getting big, but still ugly. What fun.

Palo Alto, CA(Zone 9a)

Those chicks are adorable! ... (in a homely kind of way) ... did anyone see that little Max down a whole mouse in about three gulps last week? It was incredible! And mama Molly was keeping the ever watchful eye to make sure he did it just right. Astounding! I guess that fifth egg is not going to hatch.

BUMP ^_^

The owl cam will be back on a little later.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Poor Molly looks so cramped in that box...just imagine if all 6 eggs had hatched!! McGee does an excellent job of providing for this growing bunch.

Gainesville, FL(Zone 9a)

O yes, here we go. Sorry to have not seen this and reposted. Going to correct that.

I cant believe I actually came to check on them first thing this morning...even before daylily scape hunting. Glad to know they will be back up soon.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Boy they are really getting big now...great viewing of them too!

Gainesville, FL(Zone 9a)

Max can stand up on his own, not even bob his head. Im even getting used to the eating part, as long as I dont see exactly what it is.
Lalambchop sent me the site and I have been hooked ever since. I keep the sound on and when they start making noise....I come check.
There is another owl couple...salt and pepper, that I found on the same site. Those eggs should not start hatching tho until the first of May, so I have that for 'back up'

yep..looser :-)

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Oh...I have to find the other couple! They are just so ugly they are cute!

Gainesville, FL(Zone 9a)

yea, but they are eating something right now with eyes..or shall we say the eyes are looking right at me, Ill be back to Molly in a bit lol. I understand it. I just cant always watch.

It is beyond interesting tho, the way those chicks are growing and to see the way mother nature puts such beautiful feathers/markings.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

LOL!!!

Chapin, SC(Zone 7b)

Thanks for telling us about the others!

Gainesville, FL(Zone 9a)

Poor Olivia, the other owl with a box, lost a chick yesterday. I havent gone over this morning to see how that turned out.
Molly doesnt stay with Her chicks much anymore, but they are still SO fun to watch, they can stand up now and are getting color. Molly and McGee still bring that food tho.

Hope all is well. Gotta go check on the chicks now that Ive got them on my mind ;-)

Max the oldest owlet keeps going to the door like he might fledge. He has been doing this since 11pm last night!

Chapin, SC(Zone 7b)

We got to see a nest of 5 Carolina Wrens fledge yesterday. It was really something.

Gainesville, FL(Zone 9a)

Well I cant take my eyes off that door at night.
I just cant believe we have watched it all this time, and its going to go away off into the night.
Amazing tho. I sure hope they come back next year!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

I just know I am going to miss it and I want to see it soooo bad! I did get to see Mom or Dad make a delivery at the door last night. That was cool!

I will miss them...and will be looking for them next year for sure. SO I hope they return too. Unfortunately the Barn Owl has a low life expectancy. Most only live a year or so it says in all the info I have found.

Chapin, SC(Zone 7b)

That's sad.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Leslie, that had to be fun to see the wrens fledge! Being a bird is not an easy task.
