I saw this Green Tower boxwood while window-shopping @ a local nursery. On my list.

That is very nice. I like the tower shrubs. I have the red berberis and I want to get the yellow one also. The holly is nice too.

tower red berberis?

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

Yes. Or maybe pillar would be more correct. They grow narrow around and tall. Wayside Gardens is where I see them and getting plants from them is touchy. Sometimes it takes them years to recover and grow. My pillar is about three times taller and I've had it about three years. About 12" now. It should take off this year. It isn't leafed out yet but I will take a picture when it does.

Willow is that Berberis 'Helmund Pillar'? I have several - easy, and they berry-up nicely for Late-Fall/Winter.
I have another - 'PowWow'. It's yellow - a sunshine yellow.

I will go looking, again. I could not find it earlier in my search.

Yes, that's it Katye. I think the yellow ones are so pretty. It's the plant everyone notices in the garden.

Willow - about how tall is your PowWow?
Trying to figure out siting for mature size can be tricky here - everything gets bigger than the tag states.
I'm sure mine needs to be moved...

I'm not sure it's call pow wow but it is a regular Japanese Barberry. It is about eight years old and about 4'x4'. Has only been slightly pruned twice.

Glad to hear other also experience giant plants - my east-side sister is always amazed at how huge everything is in my yard, while she purposely buys things like umbrella plants trying for size in her much hotter/drier environment.
