I have about a dozen Dutchma's Pipe aka Calico Flower aka Pelican Flower (Aristolochia elegans) seedlings I can trade. They range from 3 inches to 6 inches.

They grow fairly quick out here and I have no use for them as I already have a couple of vines in my yard. I didn't want to waste them by digging them out and tossing them in the trash so I transplanted them into pots.
Am looking for butterfly larval host plants (not seeds or cuttings) - of Hops Vine (humulus lupus), False Nettle (boehmeria cylindrica), Wild Black Cherry (prunus) or Noseburn (tragia).
If not, then does anyone have bedding plants that prefer shade but also have blossoms that attract nectaring butterflies?

My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance.
CLOSED: CLOSED: HAVE: Dutchman's Pipe (Aristolochia elegans) seedlings
I wish I had something you wanted. I was thinking of trying a Dutchmens pipe. I think I'd be pushing the zone here, but I love the look of the flowers on the Duchmen's pipe.
Hey, Cat...I see all these postings...how about the St. Vincent Vine?...Is yours up yet?...MaryAnn
MaryAnn,
I pulled out the St. Vincent's vine - butterflies didn't use it for nectar and am trying to stick with butterfly larval hosts. I do have one in pot and am sure others will pop up in the yard from fallen seed. You want it?

Yes, I do...we love it and the bees do, too...bees need love too!
MaryAnn
Let me check on the hops, I think I have lots of extra coming up this year and would be happy to trade.
